The Watsons Haul I’ve Been Buying for Years (Part 1)

 Heyyy! Welcome to my blog!

I feel excited just writing about this topic. And by the way, I am writing right after my Watson shopping. The longest time that I have spent ‘outside’ is in this place. Not to mention the occasional 50% discounts and the excitement after seeing those announcements.

It is best to try out new cosmetics and see if they suit our skin. But I tend to be loyal to a few brands and stick with them for years. If it suits me well, I don't see a need to change. ( I lowkey want to try new brands)

I started experimenting with makeup during my University days. I feel the excitement when I enter Watson's until now. My siblings and I will even make this sister's day out. With lots of gossip, of course.

Now, let's go right into the topic. I can't wait to unveil my lists.

Ellipse Vitamin hair Mask

I cannot stress how effective this is on my hair. My hair is naturally curly. That's it! That is the whole sentence. You already guessed my hair is high maintenance. I have a six-step hair care routine, just to end up with the same frizzy hair. There was a time, I was facing too much hairfall, and my hair tended to get dry easily. I stumbled upon this product randomly and gave it a try. It worked like magic. There are many types of Ellipse Vitamin hair masks. I used the Hair Treatment with Jojoba oil. It did treat my hair, and I've still been sticking with this product for three years now.

Vaseline Body Lotion (Sensitive skin)

This is one of the products that helps my skin feel smooth and hydrated. I am the Queen of Arendelle when it comes to hot weather. Vaseline has always helped to prevent dry skin. As an ardent fan of Vaseline body lotions, I have tried many of their products, including Intensive Care and Cocoa Radiant. But as someone with sensitive skin, Vaseline Sensitive Skin Rescue is my personal favourite.

Note: If you are looking for Vaseline with an amazing fragrance, Cocoa Radiant is the one.

L’Oréal hair oil serum

First of all, the floral fragrance is a must-mention. I have always gotten compliments for the smell. People tend to mistake it for my perfume. But all those amazing French Rose oil smell comes from this amazing hair oil serum. Apart from that, it is amazing to keep hair shiny, especially when applied after straightening or curling your hair. It will help to hold the curls for a longer time. The chef’s kiss is that it will not make your hair appear oily. I could talk about this product forever. I have tried the yellow (with 6 precious floral oils)and pink ones. I prefer the pink bottle, which is suitable for my curly hair.

Silkygirl eyeliner

Where do I start with the Silkygirl brand? This is one of those underrated brands that needs more hype. I have tried a number of their matte lipsticks, which stayed longer and were easy to reapply. But my favourite product of this brand is their eyeliner. The amazing part of this eyeliner is the sharp tip that helps to draw an easy winged eyeliner. After countless YouTube tutorials, I am still getting the hang of drawing winged eyeliner. Silkygirl eyeliner is my choice for a beautiful eyeliner.

There are more of my favourite products that I adore at Watson's. Stay tuned!

Let me brainwash you into watching sitcoms

“I declare bankcruptcyyyy”  If you read that in Michael Scott's voice, then you are one of us, a sitcom lover. I started watching Sitcoms when I was in University. A Friends scene popped up on my YouTube recommendations. Ironically, I watched the finale first. But it was so funny and oddly comforting that I went back and binged all the seasons. Since then, I’ve fallen deep into the sitcom rabbit holes.  There is something about watching sitcoms which creates a safe and calm feeling. It will give you an instant feeling like you are included in something warm and pleasant. I believe this is the reason for people to rewatch the same sitcoms many times. Let me give you a few more reasons why you should start watching sitcoms. They are relatable I believe everyone has the urge to feel included, and sitcoms are best at doing it. Remember when Monica asked, “Do you have a plan?” and Phoebe responded with, “I don’t even have a pla ...”? It was hilarious and validating. It remin...

Tengah healing ke tu? A needed escape to Gunung Jerai

Sometimes all we need is a different perspective.  We often get caught up in routines and forget why we push ourselves so hard. At the core, it’s to live the life we dream of. And that takes effort, discipline, and sometimes, a bit of healing. I recently took a long-planned, but impromptu trip to Jerai Hill (Gunung Jerai), which allowed me to relax and stay mindful in the present moment.  To be very honest, I just wanted to escape from the scorching hot weather recently. Malaysia is filled with famous hill stations, and Gunung Jerai is an underrated one. Let me just walk you through everything I loved about Gunung Jerai.  Buckle up! (No, really) Like any hill destination, you need to drive through the beautiful greenery, which makes you think about what else is beautiful you haven't witnessed yet in life. The roads are well-maintained, and there are clear horn signs along the way. It’s a drive that asks you to be both careful and present, watching the road while soaking i...
