When I Stopped Focusing on Myself, I Lost Control

“So annoying,” I find myself muttering continuously. I was furious with someone I love. I was throwing hurtful words at them without thinking. I could see my anger blinding me. I wouldn’t even call it an argument; it was just bickering over something pointless. Yet it felt like a volcano erupting. Only later did I realise it was simply my overthinking. As someone who considers herself a calm person, I was baffled by my own reaction. In that moment, something clicked. I had not been focusing on myself or my inner world, and that neglect might have sparked the whole feud. They say wherever your focus goes, your energy flows. I experienced that truth firsthand. Life Lessons From Years Of Baking

If you are born with, or happen to have, any kind of skill set, it is important to practice regularly. How are you so effortlessly good at this? I am pretty sure the answer would be ‘practice!’. As such, I have an inexplicable joy when it comes to baking desserts. It is just me and my whisks against the world. When I am baking or not baking, that is all I think about. I am not sure if it is about to be involved in the creative world or to have the opportunity to serve the loved ones around me, but I am grateful that I can bake any dessert people want.  Now, as a small bakery business owner, I still practice recipes. So when you are participating in one field for a long time, you can cultivate certain lessons from it. I am happy to share some of them in this blog.
