What if the biggest problems in your life aren’t really problems but how you see them?
The amazing thing about life is you can create what you want!
I strongly believe in this statement. You can either say that ‘Nah’, life always gets in the way, or there is always some problem that keeps showing up. I hear you. Honestly, I used to think the same way. In fact, I was so afraid to dream big because I might have to face with lot of problems. But guess what happened? There were other problems I had to face anyway.
This got me thinking. Am I only focusing on the problematic part of my life because that is the only thing I was exposed to? What if I start seeing the good part of my life and put more of my focus on it? I tried, and it actually works. Did certain issues in my life magically disappear? No. But it seems a lot smaller than it used it be once I started looking at the solutions rather than the problem itself.
There are certain things you can follow to lead a contented life while achieving what you want. Maybe you can try them out?
It matters how you define yourself
I read somewhere that our mind listens to everything we say, especially when it is about ourselves. So it is important how we talk to ourselves even when nobody is around. It does have a huge impact on people, thus the beliefs of positive affirmations and manifestations. People also tend to define themselves based on their past. As someone who used to do that, the more you define yourself by the past, the more you get stuck there. So feel it, but never dwell on those negative emotions. Always talk good about yourself to others and to yourself.
Practice being in present
I cannot stress this enough. I believe, as a former overthinker, that half of the problem is created in our minds. If you notice, the actual problem is not even that big, or we can somehow get a solution for it. But no! Our mind does this thing where it creates scenarios and possibilities of everything that could happen. And boom! You are now anxious and worried! This happens to everyone in different circumstances. However, I have noticed that people who tend to stay present are good at problem-solving skills. This is probably because they are only facing the problem when it comes, and do not go down the rabbit hole of overthinking before or after it happens. Staying present also allows you to experience the beautiful moments completely, and as humans, it is essential to be mindful. It takes a little practice, but I promise it is totally worth it!
Have a goal or projects in your life
Our minds always look to solve a problem. It needs challenges every day, so that the mind becomes stronger. So give what it asked for. Have routines and goals for yourselves. It does not matter how small or big it is. Whether it is working out every day or simply not using your phone before bed. Discipline your mind. When you look back at your day, there will be many wins in one day, which will make you feel happy every single day. At the same time, if you miss one day of that routine, do not be so hard on yourself. You can wake up and try tomorrow. Consistency beats perfection! It will bring you closer to your goal.
Which of these three practices will you try this week?
